Loan Watch: Minteh stars in big De Klassieker win for Feyenoord

nufc.co.uk takes a look at the weekend's action involving the Magpies' loan stars...

Yankuba Minteh

It was a memorable weekend for teenage winger Minteh, who has enjoyed a fine season on loan at Feyenoord. He started in the Netherlands' De Klassieker - the Rotterdam outfit's clash with Ajax - at De Kuip and ended the afternoon with two goals and an assist as Arne Slot's men demolished the Amsterdam giants, winning 6-0.

Minteh set the opener up for Igor Paixao with 34 minutes gone before sweeping home his side's second with his unfavoured right foot a minute later.

The Gambian international's superb curling effort from inside the box on 56 minutes made it 4-0, before he was replaced with just under quarter of an hour remaining. His contributions from the right side of Feyenoord's attack took the 19-year-old onto ten goals and four assists for the campaign.

Dylan Stephenson

The young forward has been in encouraging form for South Shields in National League North, and Stephenson added another two goals to his tally on Saturday as the Mariners thrashed Bishops Stortford 7-0.

The 21-year-old now has eight goals to show from his 16 outings for Elliott Dickman's men.

Ryan Fraser

The Scotland winger started for Southampton as they drew 0-0 at Blackburn Rovers in the Championship. He was withdrawn with 15 minutes to go at Ewood Park.

Isaac Hayden

Hayden has impressed for Queens Park Rangers, but they were beaten 2-0 at home by Sheffield Wednesday in the second tier on Saturday, with the midfielder receiving a yellow card during his 69-minute outing.

Jamal Lewis

Watford were held to a goalless draw by Preston at the weekend, with Lewis playing the entire 90 minutes at full back for the Hornets.

Jeff Hendrick

Hendrick didn't make it off the bench as Sheffield Wednesday sealed a vital 2-0 win over Hayden's QPR in the capital.

Harrison Ashby

Ashby wasn't part of the Swansea City squad that were beaten 2-0 at Middlesbrough.

Matty Bondswell

The left back made a late substitute outing for Newport County, entering the fray with two minutes remaining of their 1-0 League Two loss to Grimsby Town.

Michael Ndiweni

Ndiweni was booked in the first half of Annan Athletic's 3-1 loss at home to Hamilton Academical in Scottish League One, and was taken off at the break.

Garang Kuol

Kuol wasn't involved for Volendam in their 3-2 Eredivisie win over RKC Waalwijk - but that was because he is set to feature for Australia's youngsters in the Under-23 Asia Cup finals in Qatar over the next three weeks.
