Loan Watch: Minteh brace earns Feyenoord win

nufc.co.uk takes a look at the weekend's action involving the Magpies' loan stars...

Yankuba Minteh

The Gambian teenager netted twice in Feyenoord's 2-0 away win at Almere City on Sunday, breaking the deadlock within 11 minutes of his introduction from the substitutes' bench following a stunning curling strike from the edge of the penalty area.

The highly-rated youngster, who joined the Magpies from Danish side Odense Boldklub last summer, later sealed a fifth league away win for Arne Slot's men in stoppage-time, taking his goalscoring tally to six across all competitions so far this term.

Michael Ndiweni

The Throckley-born striker, who made his Premier League debut for his boyhood club during a 4-1 win against Chelsea in November, netted his second goal in as many matches for Scottish League One side Annan Athletic but ended up on the losing side following a 2-1 away defeat against Cove Rangers.

The 20-year-old levelled the scoring eight minutes after the restart following Rumarn Burrell's opener for the hosts before Josh Kerr's strike in the closing stages condemned the Galabankies to defeat.

Ryan Fraser

The Scotland international was unable to mark his 30th birthday with a victory for Southampton following the Saints' 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Millwall.

Japhet Tanganga opened the scoring for the visitors inside five minutes before Fraser was forced off after 19 minutes, replaced by Sam Edozie, and despite Ché Adams' equaliser for the promotion-chasing hosts, Zian Fleming's penalty before the break proved the difference on the South coast.

Jamal Lewis

The Luton-born full-back started Watford's Championship clash against Huddersfield Town, playing the opening 59 minutes at Vicarage Road before being replaced by Matheus Martins but the Hornets were beaten 2-1 against the Terriers following Danny Ward's brace.

Garang Kuol

The Australian teenager was named on the bench for Volendam's 4-0 home defeat against Heerenveen but was not introduced during the Eredivisie clash.

Isaac Hayden

The central midfielder started Queens Park Rangers' Championship visit of Rotherham United on Saturday but was substituted before the restart before the Hoops recovered from a one-goal deficit to stage a 2-1 victory at Loftus Road.

Matty Bondswell

Newport County suffered a 3-0 defeat away at Milton Keynes Dons in League Two, with the Nottingham-born full-back introduced from the bench in the 58th minute.
