The Netherlands international netted in each half on Saturday as he played for the first 75 minutes - and he wasn't the only on-loan Magpie to hit the target.

On Sunday, Florian Thauvin was among the scorers for Marseille in a 4-1 victory against Lorient, while he also had a hand in two other goals before coming off in the 62nd minute.

In the Swiss SuperLeague, Kevin Mbabu also laid on a goal as BSC Young Boys beat Thun 3-2. The defender played the whole game.

Henri Saivet completed 90 minutes for Saint-Etienne in a 0-0 stalemate with Bastia in Ligue 1 on Saturday while Tim Krul was in goal for AZ Alkmaar as they drew 1-1 with Excelsior on Sunday.

Lubo Satka started and finished FC DAC's 1-1 draw with Ruzomberok while Freddie Woodman and Sean Longstaff were both in the Kilmarnock XI which lost 2-1 to Motherwell. Longstaff was replaced by fellow United loanee Callum Roberts in the 79th minute.

Adam Armstrong came off after 75 minutes of Barnsley's 2-1 loss to Derby while Ivan Toney came off the bench in the 82nd minute as Scunthorpe were beaten by League One promotion rivals Fleetwood.

However Bradford kept their own promotion hopes alive with a 1-0 win over Peterborough, with Alex Gilliead playing the whole game.

Paul Woolston was in goal for Blyth as they lost 3-2 to Sutton Coldfield. It was their second successive defeat but they stay top of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division.
