Loan watch: Barlaser helps Accrington to earn away point at Sunderland

Written by Dan King

Newcastle youngster Daniel Barlaser was part of the Accrington Stanley team which drew at Sunderland in League One on Friday night.

The Gateshead-born midfielder played the full 90 minutes as Stanley raced into a two-goal lead before being pegged back in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

Billy Kee's penalty in the first half put the visitors ahead and Paul Smyth doubled their advantage on 52 minutes to send the 661 travelling supporters wild.

But two goals in seven minutes from George Honeyman and Aiden McGeady got the Black Cats back on level terms as the game finished 2-2.

Liam Gibson was an unused substitute for Accrington.
