Loan watch: Armstrong comes out on top against Gilliead

And it was Adam Armstrong's Blackburn who came out on top against Alex Gilliead's Bradford at Ewood Park.

Both players started for their respective loan clubs, with Armstrong looking to improve a record of seven goals in his previous seven games.

And although he wasn't on the scoresheet this time, he did play a part in Craig Conway's goal which made it 2-0 to Rovers in the 80th minute.

That's how it stayed, with Armstrong completing the full 90 minutes and Gilliead replaced in the 64th minute. 

The result took Blackburn back to the top of Sky Bet League One, while Bradford's faint play-off hopes took another blow.
