Loan Watch: Aarons makes debut for table-topping Wycombe

Written by Luke Vinton

Rolando Aarons made his first appearance for Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday as the Chairboys defeated Lincoln City at Adams Park.

The winger, who is on loan at the League One outfit until January 2020, was introduced to the field in stoppage time during a 3-1 victory in front of 5,562 spectators.

Left back Joe Jacobson played his part in all three goals for Gareth Ainsworth's side as the left-back netted twice to help maintain Wycombe's unbeaten start to their league campaign.

Wanderers sit top of England's third tier with 15 points after seven games, edging Coventry City by goal difference.

Elsewhere, Moroccan defender Achraf Lazaar played his first game for Serie B outfit Cozensa Calcio as the Wolves suffered a 2-1 defeat against Lecce while Kell Watts played the full 90 minutes of Stevenage's 4-2 defeat at Cheltenham Town in League Two.

Forward Elias Sørensen made a brief role during Carlisle United's 3-1 home defeat against Exeter City as the Danish teenager replaced Christie Elliott in the 87th minute at Brunton Park.

Dan Barlaser, Liam Gibson and Nathan Harker were all unused substitutes for Rotherham United, Grimsby Town and Blyth Spartans respectively.
