Achraf Lazaar has joined Serie B side Cosenza Calcio for the rest of the 2019/20 campaign.
The Morocco international joined Newcastle United from Palermo in August 2016 but has made only ten appearances for the Magpies in all competitions and hasn't played a competitive game since a Carabao Cup defeat to Nottingham Forest two years ago.
The 27-year-old featured in pre-season before picking up an injury and was not named in Steve Bruce's 25-man Premier League squad.
He impressed during a loan spell with Sheffield Wednesday last season, having spent the previous campaign on loan in Serie A with Benevento.
Cosenza were promoted to Italy's second tier in 2018 and last season finished tenth in Serie B. They're currently 16th, with one point from their opening two games.
Their next fixture is against Pescara on Sunday, 15th September.
