Knee injury forces Clark out of Ireland friendlies

Ciaran Clark is out of the Republic of Ireland squad for their upcoming friendlies against France and USA.

The defender, who missed the Premier League season run-in with a knee injury, had been named in Martin O'Neill's provisional squad for the games.

But he has now been ruled out and will be working to return to full fitness in time for the next campaign.
