Joe Kinnear - 1946-2024

Newcastle United is saddened to learn of the passing of Joe Kinnear at the age of 77.

Joe worked at the club as both manager and Director of Football. 

In total, he managed the Magpies 18 times between September 2008 and February 2009. He had previously managed Wimbledon, Nottingham Forest, Luton and Doncaster, having enjoyed a successful career as a player with Tottenham - where he won several major honours - and Brighton. He also won 26 caps for Republic of Ireland. 

The thoughts of everyone at Newcastle United are with Joe's family and friends at this difficult time.
