It's Ryan Vale-er

Written by Dan King

Ryan Taylor has signed for League One side Port Vale on a short-term deal

The former Newcastle favourite, who won a Coca-Cola Championship title-winners medal with United in 2009/10 and scored a derby winner against Sunderland in August 2011, left Hull City in the summer and will join the Valiants subject to EFL approval.

Now 32 years old, versatile Taylor will wear the number 40 shirt for Vale and will be available for Saturday's game at Oxford United.

He joins ex-Magpies Jak Alnwick and Remie Streete at Vale Park.
