Harry Taylor, 1935 - 2017

Newcastle United are saddened to hear of the passing of former player, Harry Taylor.

Born John Henry Taylor in Crawcrook, Gateshead in 1935, he joined the Magpies as a youngster in 1951 and made his senior debut against Sheffield United in January 1955.

An outside-right, Taylor made 29 appearances and scored five goals for United, as well as spending two seasons on loan at Fulham before departing for Chelmsford City in 1960.

He sadly passed away on Thursday 5th January 2017, aged 81.

The thoughts of everyone at the club are with his family and friends.
