Get your free matchday programme for Villa clash

Although no supporters will be able to attend the Magpies' remaining matches this season, Newcastle United is still producing its award-winning matchday programme - and it's free.

The coronavirus outbreak has meant many changes to everybody's usual matchday routine, and that includes the traditional stop at one of the programme kiosks on the way to St. James' Park.

But Sunday's visit of Sheffield United saw the first ever digital-only version of UNITED, and there's a new issue for Wednesday night's visit of Aston Villa.

And you can read it all for free here. You will require a modern smartphone, tablet or computer, a strong wi-fi connection (the programme will work on mobile data but is a large download) and the latest version of Chrome, Firefox or Safari.

If you have any trouble reading please check the above criteria are met, then try clearing the cache of your browser and reloading. Supporters are welcome to download and print out the programme for their own collections.

Isaac Hayden - so impressive against the Blades at the weekend - is the subject of an in-depth cover interview. The midfielder endured a particularly challenging lockdown after he and his young family fell victim to a burglary and he opens up about that, returning to top flight action and much more in a wide-ranging discussion with Rory Mitchinson.

Martin Dúbravka answers questions from supporters via the medium of a video call in the first of new feature, Zoom Army, while there's a chat with Tommy Craig, who played for both clubs in the 1970s.

Club historian Paul Joannou focuses on former Villa and England star Kevin Richardson, who is now an Academy coach with the Magpies, and tells the story of United's trip to communist Hungary in the Fairs Cup a couple of years after they won the cup in 1969, while in another new feature we find out how Newcastle supporters have coped amidst the current pandemic.
