Fundraising gig to raise awareness of mental health issues

Everyone is invited to enjoy an entertaining evening featuring live music, food and special guest speaker John Anderson at a Newcastle United Foundation mental health awareness gig.

Join Newcastle United’s official charity in highlighting mental health issues and signposts to support through the Foundation’s Be A Game Changer campaign at St. James’ Park on Thursday night.

Guests will be entertained by North East-based soul group, Gotcha!, throughout the night and will also be in with the chance of winning exclusive signed Magpies merchandise.

Newcastle United Foundation launched the Be A Game Changer campaign earlier this year to encourage United supporters to talk more openly about their mental wellbeing. More than 700 men are currently engaged with Be A Game Changer, with thousands more being reached via social media.

BBC Newcastle summariser and former United defender John Anderson will also be joining guests on the evening for the special fundraising gig open to anyone interested in supporting, promoting or finding out more about mental health awareness.

Tickets are £12 and doors open at 7pm on Thursday, November 28th, at NINE Sports Bar & Lounge, St. James’ Park, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, NE1 4ST.
