FA Youth Cup quarter-final date set

Newcastle United Under-18s' FA Youth Cup quarter-final clash with Tottenham Hotspur will take place on Monday, 27th February, it has been confirmed.

Dave Watson's side booked their place in the last eight of the prestigious competition with a thrilling 4-3 victory over local rivals Sunderland in the last round, with goals from captain Owen Bailey, Adam Wilson and Lewis McNall brace sealing the win.

Their reward is a tie against Spurs, who progressed to the quarter-final stage thanks to a 2-0 victory over Norwich City last week, with Kazaiah Sterling bagging both goals.

United will have have home advantage for the game, which will be played under the lights at St. James' Park - where they beat Swansea City 3-1 in the fourth round.

And admission to the game will be free for all supporters.

Two years ago, a crowd of over 11,000 at St. James' Park saw the Magpies' youngsters take on Chelsea at the same stage of the competition.
