Exclusive Sean Longstaff interview inside Saturday's programme

Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff is this weekend’s official matchday programme cover star for the visit of Burnley.

The 22-year-old’s image adorns the front cover of the latest issue of UNITED, which also carries an exclusive eight-page interview with Longstaff, who could make his 100th senior appearance if selected against the Clarets.

In an in-depth chat, Longstaff discusses his first full season as a Premier League player and the impact his superb breakthrough year had on him.

The North Shields youngster – who netted his first top flight goal against Burnley a year ago – also speaks about some of the criticism he had received since making his return from a serious knee injury in the summer, and the surreal pleasure that comes with playing alongside his brother Matty for their boyhood club.

Also inside Saturday’s edition, former Newcastle striker Paul Robinson – who spent a brief period on loan with this weekend’s visitors – reflects on his career in the game in an honest interview.

DeAndre Yedlin is the latest player to tackle the Toon Tombola, discussing celebrity friends, scary movies and spirits.

Club historian Paul Joannou catches up with Kevin Carr in his regular United History Blog, and also looks back at some of the Magpies’ most unusual kit changes over the years.

And young striker Yannick Toure goes under the spotlight in High Hopes to chat about the ups and downs of his career to date, while head coach Steve Bruce and captain Jamaal Lascelles pen their regular columns.
