Exclusive DeAndre Yedlin interview in Tuesday's matchday programme

Written by Dan King

DeAndre Yedlin had a hand in both of Newcastle's goals against Huddersfield at the weekend, and the USA international defender is the star of the matchday programme for Tuesday night's visit of Burnley.

Yedlin has been a regular under Rafa Benítez ever since joining the Magpies from Tottenham Hotspur in August 2016, and is closing in on 100 appearances for the club.

Born in Seattle, the 25-year-old started his career in Major League Soccer with his hometown team and is therefore well placed to discuss new signing Miguel Almirón, who has made such an impressive start to life on Tyneside following his January move from Atlanta United.

And - in an exclusive interview in Tuesday's edition of UNITED, he does exactly that - as well as revealing who he believes is the quickest between Almirón and himself!

Yedlin also provides an honest assessment of his own form this term and explains why, with 11 games to go, the business end of the season is now upon Newcastle.

"Now is where you've really got to put your best foot forward and give it all you've got," he said. "It may seem like 11 games is a lot, but it'll go by really fast."

Yedlin - who also discusses the team's recent training camp in Spain - is interviewed over eight pages and features on the front cover, while there are also interviews with former United and Burnley defender Stephen Caldwell and South African youngster Tyrique Bartlett as well as reaction to the weekend's excellent win.

Fabian Schär takes part in the popular Toon Tombola, there's the lowdown on Burnley and the thoughts of Sky Sports' Pete Graves, while the 84 pages are also packed with historical content plus regular columns from manager Rafa Benítez and skipper Jamaal Lascelles.

UNITED is priced at just £3 and is available around the ground or online here.
