Exclusive Botman interview inside Saturday's programme

You can read an exclusive, six-page interview with Sven Botman inside Saturday’s issue of UNITED – Newcastle’s official, acclaimed matchday programme.

Ahead of Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth’s visit to St. James’ Park, the Dutchman – who’s re-establishing himself in the Magpies’ XI after a lengthy lay-off – looks back at his road back to fitness after suffering the first major injury setback of his career.

Among the other contents of the 84-page issue – recognised as one of the league’s best last season – is a bumper historical section, increased in size for 2023/24. Club Historian Paul Joannou provides four pages, as does regular UNITED columnist Stan Gate, who brings all sorts of black and white memorabilia back to light. There’s the latest chapter of The European Years – a new regular feature looking back at each and every one of the Magpies’ continental campaigns to date – as well as the newest instalments of The Poster Boys and When Worlds Collide, the latter shining a light on a couple of both clubs’ lesser-remembered players.

We find out a bit more about January recruit Alfie Harrison, who outlines his hopes and dreams going forward after joining the club from Man City. Oisín McEntee features in this week’s Academy Alumni and, ahead of their return to St. James’ Park, we look back at Newcastle United Women’s four prior appearances at the ground. There’s also an extended interview with fans’ favourite Tyler Dodds, who chats about life on and off the pitch.

Sky Sports’ Pete Graves provides his latest column, while Newcastle United Scotland Supporters take centre stage in Mags Around The World.

Furthermore, there’s ten dedicated pages on our visitors to SJP, three more for Junior Magpies, boss Eddie Howe and Kieran Trippier’s thoughts ahead of the game and much, much more.

UNITED will be on sale around the ground, priced at £3.50.
