Dummett named in Wales squad

Written by Tom Easterby

Newcastle United defender Paul Dummett has been named in the Wales squad for their upcoming fixtures against Denmark and Albania.

Ryan Giggs’ men welcome Denmark to the Cardiff City Stadium on Friday, 16th November, with UEFA Nations League points at stake (kick-off 7.45pm).

They will make the journey to Albania for a friendly match, which will be played on Tuesday, 20th November, with kick-off set for 7pm at the Elbasan Arena.

And 27-year-old Dummett is part of the 26-man squad selected by Giggs for this month’s games, with the Denmark tie set to decide who will finish top of League B Group 4.

Dummett – who made his first competitive international appearance against the Republic of Ireland in September – will be looking to add to his total of three caps, and is likely to compete with Aston Villa defender Neil Taylor for the left back berth.
