Dates confirmed for Under-23s' fixtures

New dates for three of Newcastle United Under-23s’ remaining fixtures have been confirmed.

The Premier League 2 Division Two games against Blackburn Rovers and Aston Villa, which were initially postponed, have been rearranged, while a date for the Premier League Cup quarter-final tie away to Sheffield United has also been confirmed.

That last-eight tie against the Blades will take place on Friday, 6th April. Kick-off is set for 2pm, with a venue set to be announced in due course.

Three days later, the young Magpies will travel to Blackburn Rovers for a league clash, which will kick-off at 7pm on Monday, 9th April. That game will be played at the Lancashire FA’s County Ground.

And United, who face FC Porto at St. James’ Park in the semi-finals of the Premier League International Cup on Thursday 12th April, will play another game at St. James’ the following week, with Villa the visitors. That league game will take place on Friday, 20th April, with kick-off set for 7pm.
