Date for Northumberland Senior Cup semi-final confirmed

Newcastle United's Northumberland Senior Cup semi-final clash against Blyth Spartans will be played at Croft Park on Tuesday, 24th March.

Ben Dawson's side, bidding to lift the trophy for a 40th time, have been handed an away draw against the National league North outfit, managed by former Newcastle midfielder Lee Clark, and kick-off for the cup clash will be at 7.45pm (GMT).

The two sides met at the quarter-final stages of the competition last year, with the young Magpies progressing into the last four following a 7-2 triumph at Whitley Park.

The winner of the tie will face either North Shields or holders Morpeth Town in the final, which will be held at St. James' Park.

Admission for the semi-final meeting at Croft Park is £6 for adults and £3 concessions, while there will be free entry for under-10s.
