Date confirmed for Morecambe match

Newcastle United's Carabao Cup third round tie at Morecambe will be played on Wednesday, 23rd September.

Kick-off at the Mazuma Stadium will be at 7.45pm (BST). The match will be played behind closed doors and will not be televised live by Sky Sports, although it will be available for supporters to watch via the Carabao Cup official live streaming platform.

Match passes will cost £10 and prices are set by the EFL, who are managing the service. The game will only be available in the UK and will not be streamed overseas.

Unfortunately, due to competition rules, the usual free live audio commentary on NUFC TV will not be available for this game. However there will be extended highlights on NUFC TV the morning after the match.

League Two Morecambe beat Oldham 1-0 on Tuesday night, having knocked out Grimsby after a penalty shoot-out in the first round.

United edged past Blackburn Rovers in the second round thanks to debutant Ryan Fraser's goal on Tuesday night.
