Bondswell joins Newport on loan

The 21-year-old has linked up with Graham Coughlan's men ahead of the start of the new season, and will spend the entire 2023/24 campaign at Rodney Parade.

Bondswell joined the Magpies in March 2021 after a spell with German side RB Leipzig, and made his first team debut for Eddie Howe's side in their pre-season friendly against Benfica at the Estádio da Luz last July. He was a regular for United’s under-21 side last term, making 23 appearances in all competitions.

Left back Bondswell, who spent time out on loan at Shrewsbury Town in 2022, will look to establish himself with the Exiles during pre-season before a potential EFL bow in their season curtain-raiser at Accrington Stanley on Saturday 5th August.
