Beijing Morning Star United U17s 0 Newcastle U17s 9

Written by Dan King

Newcastle scored nine times without reply in their second SuperCupNI game in Ballymoney, Northern Ireland, on Tuesday evening.

United had lost 3-1 to local side County Antrim the previous night, but thrashed Beijing Morning Star United in a much-improved display.

Skipper Matthew Longstaff opened the scoring in the sixth minute, converting after Jack Robson hit the crossbar.

Then Kieren Aplin made it 2-0 ten minutes later and Adam Wilson scored a third on the half hour.

Robson - who had scored United's consolation against Co. Antrim - got in on the act before half time and the goals kept coming after the break.

Wilson scored his second and Newcastle’s fifth, then, not to be outdone, Robson doubled his own tally to make it six.

Deese Kasinga Madia made it 7-0 before Wilson completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot after being brought down.

And Robson rounded off the scoring with his own treble as he ran onto Sam Joyce's pass before firing home.

Newcastle's final group game is against Japanese side Komazawa Uni on Wednesday.
