Advice to Newcastle fans ahead of Checkatrade Trophy game

Newcastle United supporters are advised of the following information to ensure they experience a safe and enjoyable visit to the Stadium of Light for the Checkatrade Trophy fixture on Tuesday evening.

Pre-match travel arrangements

Two dedicated Metro services will travel directly from Central Station to St. Peter's – they will be leaving at 6.22pm and 6.51pm. There is also a Northern Rail train service which leaves Newcastle at 6.48pm.

Those travelling by Metro or train MUST enter Central Station by the entrance near to the long stay car park and Centurion bar. Supporters cannot enter by the main front entrance. A barrier queueing system will be in operation.

Location of visiting supporters

Newcastle United supporters are located in the Carling Stand Upper (North) area of the Stadium of Light.

The entrance to this stand is directly opposite the Sunderland Aquatic Centre, through turnstiles 69 - 74. Seating is located on LEVEL 3, with catering and bar facilities on LEVELS 1 & 3.

There are three different stairwells to access the stand and supporters should check their tickets to ensure they use the correct turnstile to enter the stadium. There will be Sunderland and Newcastle stewards to assist supporters on the day.

Catering and bar facilities

Catering facilities are located on both LEVEL 1 and LEVEL 3 of the Carling Stand Upper (North). However, alcohol is available on LEVEL 1 ONLY before the game and at half-time.

LEVEL 3 offers tea/coffee, soft drinks and food options both before the game and at half-time.

At the end of the game

Supporters can exit the stadium upon final whistle, however concourse facilities, including bars and toilets, will be available after the game for those wishing to remain in the stadium for a short while.

At the end of the game an alcohol service will be available on LEVEL 3 for a small section of Newcastle fans. The remainder of the fans will be directed to the two larger bars on LEVEL 1, which will offer a refreshment service and facilities.

Supporters' coaches will be based in the YELLOW car park area and will leave after the game.
