2022/23 Premier League 2 fixtures released for Under-21s
Newcastle United Under-21s will begin their 2022/23 Premier League 2 campaign away at West Bromwich Albion on Monday, 8th August.
The young Magpies, who finished in eighth place of Premier League 2's second tier last term - one point adrift of the play-off spots - will travel to Staffordshire to face their Baggies counterparts in their opening league fixture.
Newcastle's youngsters will host local rivals Sunderland at St. James' Park on Monday, 31st October, the same date as the first-team's unforgettable 5-1 thrashing against the Black Cats back in 2010.
Due to the FIFA World Cup taking place in Qatar this winter, the Premier League 2 fixtures will be paused until the new year, with Elliott Dickman's side travelling to Leeds United in their final league match of 2022 on Monday, 7th November.
