2017/18 Premier League fixtures released

Written by Dan King

Newcastle United will kick off their 2017/18 Premier League campaign with a home game against last season's runners-up, Tottenham Hotspur.

It's a case of carrying on where they left off for the Magpies, as they entertained Spurs in the final game of the 2015/16 campaign and won 5-1 on a memorable afternoon at St. James' Park.

Mauricio Pochettino will bring his side to Tyneside on Saturday, 12th August and Rafa Benítez's men will then travel to newly-promoted Huddersfield Town a week later.

Benítez's former club Liverpool come to Gallowgate on Saturday, 30th September while the Magpies will welcome Leicester to St. James' Park on Saturday, 9th December - the 125th anniversary of Newcastle United's formation.

The Christmas period sees United make a first visit to West Ham's London Stadium on Saturday, 3rd December followed by two home games; Manchester City on Boxing Day and Brighton on Saturday, 30th December.

Newcastle will be at Wembley on Saturday, 17th March when they take on Spurs, and finish the season with a home game against Chelsea on Sunday, 13th May.
