Youth Cup derby victory in pictures

On Wednesday night, there was a cup classic at Eppleton as United's under-18s beat local rivals Sunderland in the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup.

Lewis McNall and Owen Bailey put Dave Watson's Magpies 2-0 up before half-time, but Josh Maja pulled one back for the Black Cats.

Adam Wilson's fine solo goal made it 3-1 to United but Maja's penalty and an Elliot Embleton strike levelled matters and extra time loomed.

However, McNall grabbed his second of the game to send Newcastle through to the quarter-finals, and Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery of the action.
