Young Magpies return for pre-season training

Newcastle United Under-21s reported back for pre-season training on Wednesday ahead of the upcoming 2023/24 campaign.

United's second-string returned to the Little Benton Academy in the glorious sunshine and underwent important preparations before the beginning of a busy pre-season schedule.

Lewis Miley, who became the club's youngest ever Premier League debutant after featuring on the final day of the 2022/23 season away at Chelsea, as well as older brother Jamie were amongst those to report back for training.

The likes of Joe White, Dylan Stephenson and Jay Turner-Cooke, who carried out respective loan spells at Exeter City, Hamilton Academical and Tranmere Rovers last term, were also in attendance at United's youth set-up.

Club photographer Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery, capturing what was in store for the youngsters...
