In pictures: A festive five-goal thriller

Newcastle's United's winless run came to an end at the London Stadium on Saturday as the Magpies edged out West Ham United in a five-goal thriller.

Goals from Henri Saivet, Mohamed Diamé and Christian Atsu gave Rafa Benítez's side a deserved three points and sent 3,000 travelling supporters home with much festive cheer just in time for Christmas.

The Senegalese midfielder took his chance, curling the ball over the wall and into the bottom left corner to level the scores

The goal was Saivet's first in the Premier League

The side's team spirit shone through as they celebrated the goal together

Saivet was also making his first Premier League appearance of the 2017/18 season

Around 3,000 Magpies supporters made the journey to the capital

They filled the London Stadium with noise as the team recorded a 3-2 victory

Some supporters got into the festive mood

Mohamed Diamé made it 2-1, finding the top corner after Christian Atsu's brilliant run from the left
