United youngsters cook up a storm

Some of Newcastle United's young players took part in a cookery challenge at St. James' Park last week.

Under the watchful eye of head chef Graham Proctor, under-23s players Tyrique Bartlett, Craig Spooner, Owen Bailey, Mo Sangare, Oliver Long, Juanito and Mackenzie Heaney were set the task of preparing two meals.

The event was arranged by the club and hosted by catering partner Sodexo, and the aim was to teach the young players vital life skills as well as helping them to eat healthily.

This is the first of a series of cookery challenges for the squad over the next few months.

Club photographer Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery. Go to NUFC TV to watch our exclusive video and see who won.
