Toon in training: Yedlin back in training ahead of Cardiff

The USA international defender limped off towards the end of the game against his former side, but following assessment and treatment, he was given the all-clear to return to training on Thursday.

Whether that means he's in contention for the weekend's game at newly-promoted Cardiff City remains to be seen, but other than the injured Florian Lejeune it did mean that Rafa Benítez had a full-strength squad to work with on the training pitch.
