Toon in training: Tuning up for Toffees trip

After a sixth successive Premier League win at St. James' Park on Saturday, Newcastle United look to take their outstanding home form on the road with them when they head to Everton on Thursday night (kick-off 7:30pm GMT).

Anthony Gordon's goal saw off Manchester United at the weekend, meaning Eddie Howe's men now boast the top flight's second best record on their own patch so far this season, having won seven of their eight home games.

But United have found things tougher on their travels this term, with September's 8-0 thrashing of Sheffield United their last league away win.

Howe and his charges are looking to change that on Thursday when they face the Toffees at Goodison Park on what will be the Magpies' last-ever trip to the 131-year-old ground before Everton move into their new home on the Bramley-Moore Dock next year.

With the recent wave of snow and frost having subsided, United's first team trained at Benton on Tuesday morning in preparation for the clash with Sean Dyche's side - and Serena Taylor was there to bring nufc.co.uk this gallery.
