Toon in training: Spurred on for Sunday

United return to Premier League action on Sunday, when they travel to the magnificent Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for a 4.30pm (BST) kick-off.

Newcastle have won one and drawn one of their only two previous visits and Eddie Howe's side will be looking to get back to winning ways after two successive 1-0 away defeats at the hands of Chelsea and Everton.

The likes of Bruno Guimarães and Chris Wood are still on international duty - the former netting his first international goal for Brazil this week and Wood becoming New Zealand's all-time record goalscorer in recent days - while Emil Krafth and Miguel Almirón are also yet to return to Tyneside having represented their respective countries.

So the likes of Isaac Westendorf - a former Barking forward who linked up with the Magpies at under-23 level following a successful trial earlier in the season - plus teenager Jay Turner-Cooke and young defender Remi Savage were involved in Wednesday's training session, with club photographer Serena Taylor bringing nufc.co.uk this gallery from United's Benton base.
