Toon in training: Ready to return

United return to action for the first time since the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II when AFC Bournemouth travel to St. James' Park on Saturday.

Last Sunday's game at West Ham United was postponed alongside all other English football fixtures but Eddie Howe and his players are now readying themselves for their next test against the Cherries, when tributes will be paid to the Queen before and during the match.

Recent signing Loris Karius has trained with his new team-mates after penning a short-term contract with the Magpies following an injury to Karl Darlow, while youngster Joe White was involved in Wednesday's training session after recovering from the knee problem which has affected his campaign so far.

Club photographer Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery ahead of the weekend's game.
