Toon in training: Ready for Rochdale replay

Having already trained on Sunday, following Saturday's draw at Wolves, Newcastle United's players continued to prepare on Monday for their midweek FA Cup replay against Rochdale.

The League One side come to St. James' Park on Tuesday night (kick-off 7.45pm GMT) and Steve Bruce has confirmed that Jonjo Shelvey and Allan Saint-Maximin are now both back in full training - although the cup clash will come too soon for both players.

Kell Watts also trained after being named on the bench at Molineux, but he is cup tied having already played in the competition during his loan spell with Stevenage in the first half of the season. However the likes of Lewis Cass, Tom Allan and Elias Sørensen - who were all among the substitutes in the first tie at the Crown Oil Arena - could feature again on Tuesday.

Head coach Bruce has pledged that United will "play as strong as we possibly can" despite several injuries, and skipper Jamaal Lascelles and fellow defenders DeAndre Yedlin and Emil Krafth were both back in training this week.

Matt Ritchie could also feature, having made his first appearance in four months as a second-half substitute against Dale last time out. Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery.
