Newcastle United’s first team squad continued their preparations for the Premier League Asia Trophy as they trained at the Magpies’ Benton base on Thursday.
United, who welcomed Fabian Schär, Freddie Woodman and Martin Dúbravka back to training this week, fly out to China on Saturday before kicking off the tournament against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday.
Academy head of coaching Ben Dawson and under-23s head coach Neil Redfearn continued to oversee training as the Magpies get set for next week’s fixtures in Nanjing and Shanghai.
