Toon in training: Out to sting the Bees

Javier Manquillo was back in training on Wednesday as Newcastle United prepared for Saturday's visit to Brentford.

The full-back missed last weekend's draw with West Ham United after suffering an ankle injury in the victory against Aston Villa, but was able to take part in the midweek session, suggesting that he could be fit enough to come back into contention against the Bees.

Ryan Fraser limped off at the London Stadium, with Eddie Howe keeping his fingers crossed that the Scotland international recovers in time for the clash with Thomas Frank's side, while Allan Saint-Maximin is another injury doubt - although the Magpies remain hopeful that he could yet face Brentford, who he scored against at St. James' Park in November.

Joelinton and Jamaal Lascelles were also on target in that 3-3 draw and they both trained, with club photographer Serena Taylor bringing nufc.co.uk this gallery from the club's Benton base.
