Toon in training: New boys train as Magpies gear up for opening day

Callum Wilson, Jamal Lewis and Ryan Fraser trained with their new team mates on Wednesday as Steve Bruce's squad prepared for Saturday's Premier League opener at West Ham United.

Wilson had trained with the group on Tuesday, following his arrival from AFC Bournemouth on Monday, but this was a first full session for Fraser, who also joined the Magpies on Tuesday, and Lewis, whose signature was secured on Tuesday.

Fellow summer signings Jeff Hendrick, back from international duty with Republic of Ireland, and Mark Gillespie were also with the group on Wednesday, while Matt Ritchie and Ciaran Clark had recovered from the knocks that saw them miss last weekend's friendly against Stoke.

Jonjo Shelvey was also back in training, while Jamaal Lascelles is available after serving a one-match ban against the Potters, so Bruce's squad is looking far stronger ahead of the visit to the London Stadium. Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery.
