Toon in training: Mountains, Mainz prep and meeting the media
Sunday saw Newcastle United's players undertake the final training session of their camp in Austria as they completed their preparations for Monday's friendly against Mainz 05.
United head to the Kufstein Arena to take on the Bundesliga side and round off their week-long stint at their temporary base near Salzburg, with Eddie Howe's side having already recorded a convincing 3-0 win over 1860 Munich on Friday.
And on Sunday morning, Howe and his charges all cycled to the nearby training pitch in Saalfelden to finalise their approach to Monday's match in the sweltering heat, with the stunning landscape around the town providing a spectacular backdrop.
They then returned to the team hotel, where a handful of players - as well as head coach Howe - spoke to local and national media outlets to give an insight into the work being put in during pre-season and look ahead to the new campaign.
