Toon in training: Magpies prepare for visit of league leaders

Champions League winners and current Premier League leaders Chelsea travel to St. James' Park on Saturday - where they will face a Newcastle United side who are yet to win this season.

But the Magpies did pick up what could turn out to be a useful point at Crystal Palace last weekend, and the squad have trained all week under interim boss Graeme Jones and the rest of United's coaching staff as they work on the best way to tackle Thomas Tuchel's team on Tyneside.

Callum Wilson has scored twice in two games - including a stunning overhead kick at Selhurst Park - since he returned from a thigh injury, while Jonjo Shelvey has served a one-match ban for his red card against Tottenham Hotspur and, having asked to play 90 minutes for the under-23s against Wolves on Monday to boost his fitness, is pushing for a recall.

Joe Willock, Miguel Almirón and Joelinton are also looking to force their way back into the starting XI after lively cameos from the bench last time out, so Jones has several big decisions to make ahead of a mouthwatering match for the Magpies. Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery from Newcastle's Benton base.
