Toon in training: Magpies prepare for return to action against Hammers

Newcastle United are back in action on Saturday lunchtime, with West Ham United the visitors to St. James' Park (kick-off 12:30pm GMT).

A handful of the Magpies' first team squad were in action for their countries during the international fixture window over the last fortnight, including Alexander Isak, Bruno Guimarães and Fabian Schär, while Anthony Gordon's fine form for the Magpies was rewarded with his first two caps for England's senior side.

With some of those players travelling back from countries around Europe on Wednesday, senior players - including Joe Willock, Jacob Murphy and Elliot Anderson - worked alongside some younger charges from the club's under-23 side in midweek, with Sean Longstaff, Jamaal Lascelles and Miguel Almirón also among the more familiar faces taking part.

Serena Taylor was there to bring nufc.co.uk this gallery from United's Benton training centre as Eddie Howe's side get set for the return of Premier League football after a fortnight's break.
