Toon in training: Magpies get to work in Riyadh

Newcastle United landed in Riyadh on Sunday, and head coach Eddie Howe wasted little time in getting to work.

The United squad, who are in Saudi Arabia for a week-long training camp, trained together on Monday in the heat, with a gym session followed by some work on the grass on the agenda for their first day.

Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi watched on as Alexander Isak stepped up his rehabilitation following injury, while young trio Jay Turner-Cooke, Lewis Miley and Joe White were also involved as Howe and his charges continue to prepare for Thursday's friendly against Al Hilal.

Club photographer Serena Taylor was there to bring nufc.co.uk this gallery from the Al Hilal Saudi Club Stadium.
