Toon in training: Magpies focused on bouncing back

Newcastle United will go in search of a first home win of the season when Manchester United arrive at St. James’ Park on Sunday afternoon (4:30pm kick-off).

Steve Bruce’s side face the Red Devils a week on from the defeat at Leicester City, with the Magpies hoping for a reaction against Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s men.

And they were boosted by on-loan Jetro Willems’ return to training this week, after the Dutchman missed the trip to the King Power Stadium with injury.

Forward Dwight Gayle also took part in light training, while Andy Carroll and DeAndre Yedlin – who both made substitute appearances last Sunday – were among those continuing their work on the training pitch ahead of the final Premier League fixture before the second international break of the campaign.

Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery from United’s Benton training centre.
