Toon in training: Looking to Liverpool

Two of the country's form teams go head-to-head at St. James' Park on Saturday, with Liverpool likely to face a stern examination of their title credentials against a Newcastle United side who have won their last four matches.

Eddie Howe's men haven't lost in the league on Tyneside in 2022 - but Jürgen Klopp's Reds are unbeaten on their travels since the turn of the year, so it's all set up for an intriguing encounter in the televised 12.30pm (BST) kick-off.

And while United climbed to ninth with their victory at Norwich last weekend, they still need points to mathematically secure safety. Jonjo Shelvey could return to the starting XI against one of his old clubs, while Javier Manquillo also spent time at Anfield earlier in the his career. And Liverpool fans won't need reminding of the blow Dwight Gayle dealt to their title hopes when playing for Crystal Palace in May 2014; could he do the same this weekend?

Club photographer Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery from the Magpies' Benton base.
