Toon in training: Looking ahead to Leeds

Newcastle United are in action at Leeds this weekend as they look to return to winning ways following last weekend's setback at home to Arsenal.

The Magpies head to Elland Road on Saturday (12:30pm kick-off) hoping for a win which would further boost their hopes of Champions League qualification as the season enters its final stage.

Eddie Howe's side were lifted by the return to fitness of winger Allan Saint-Maximin during Sunday's defeat to the Gunners, and the Frenchman was among those putting in the work at the club's Benton training centre in midweek.

In-form forwards Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson were also out on the grass ahead of what is a crucial game for both sides, with former Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce hoping to help drag Leeds clear of the drop zone.

Club photographer Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery from Wednesday's session.
