Toon in Training: Joelinton trains for the first time
The Magpies continued their pre-season preparations ahead of Saturday's friendly clash against Preston North End.
Joelinton, United's club record signing, took part in his first training session at the club's training ground in Benton on Wednesday.
Miguel Almirón was also back in training for the Magpies after the Paraguayan international was given extra time off to recover following the Copa América in Brazil.
Christian Atsu, who represented Ghana in the African Cup of Nations this summer, was another player that returned from an extended break.
