Toon in training: Hungry for the Wolves

Wolverhampton Wanderers are the visitors to St. James' Park on Saturday night, and Newcastle United know they need to bounce back after defeats to Chelsea and Manchester United in their last two matches.

Steve Bruce's side knew that away games against two of the top sides in the division were going to be particularly difficult, but the gap between themselves and the bottom three has closed over the last few days and so the next few matches will be imperative for the Magpies.

Three points against Wolves would be very useful and Bruce currently has only one new injury concern - teenager Elliot Anderson picked up a knock as he played and scored for the under-23s earlier this week, meaning he missed Thursday's training session.

Leading goalscorer Callum Wilson and defenders Fabian Schär and Javier Manquillo remain sidelined - although Manquillo in particular is making good progress and has trained outside this week, albeit away from the main group.

Federico Fernández could come back into contention after missing the last eight games, while Joelinton has trained after being forced off at Old Trafford. Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery from Newcastle United's Benton base.
