Toon in training: Gearing up for the Gunners

With their Premier League status for next season now confirmed - and a top ten finish still a possibility - Newcastle United face Arsenal on Monday night in their final home game of the season.

The Magpies have been beaten by title-challengers Liverpool and Manchester City in their last two games, so will be keen to sign off in front of their own supporters with a positive result against the Gunners, who currently sit in fourth but have local rivals Tottenham breathing down their necks.

Leading scorer Callum Wilson and talismanic defender Kieran Trippier are both pushing for a start, having returned following long injury lay-offs at the Etihad Stadium, while Ryan Fraser is also back in training. He hasn't played since coming off in the win over Wolves last month.

Jonjo Shelvey and Joe Willock are unlikely to figure in either of United's final two games, though, which could present an opportunity to teenager Jay Turner-Cooke, who has trained with Eddie Howe's squad this week.

Club photographer Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this latest gallery from the Magpies' Benton base - although she also had a helping hand from Trippier in between drills...
