Toon in training: Chelsea swagger

Following last weekend's win over Southampton - the Magpies' second victory in three matches - Newcastle United are in a confident frame of mind ahead of Monday night's trip to Chelsea.

Unfortunately, Steve Bruce will be without leading scorer Callum Wilson, plus defenders Fabian Schär and Javier Manquillo, after the trio were injured against the Saints - and all three are likely to be sidelined for at least a couple of months.

But Ciaran Clark is back in training after missing the last match as his partner gave birth to a baby boy, while Jamaal Lascelles and Federico Fernández could also be available for the trip to Stamford Bridge.

Paul Dummett was a colossus in the latter stages against Southampton after coming off the bench, so could be in line to start on Monday, while the likes of Dwight Gayle, Andy Carroll and Joelinton will be hoping for an opportunity to fill Wilson's role for the next few matches. Jeff Hendrick is suspended after his red card last time out.
