Toon in training: Bring on Brighton

With the race for a top four spot hotting up, Newcastle United welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Tyneside on Thursday night (8pm kick-off).

United had been set to face the Seagulls at St. James' Park back in February, but the game was postponed due to the Magpies' involvement in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.

Now, almost three months on, Eddie Howe's side face a stern examination at the hands of Brighton, who currently sit sixth in the Premier League table and have European aspirations of their own.

The Magpies, meanwhile, go into their upcoming double-header against Roberto De Zerbi's men and Leicester City needing points to consolidate their place in the top four, with both Manchester United and Liverpool hot on their heels in pursuit of a Champions League berth.

Club photographer Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery from United's training session on Tuesday morning.
